Caulking Bath tub

I am living in a old house I am looking for a good caulking to use on the bathtub? Right now the caulking will produce some bad mildew.

Phenoseal or, Polyseamseal...

It's cheap, easy to use, smooth nicely with a wet finger, and cleans up with water yet after drying 24 hours is waterproof....

How can you go wrong....

#1 That mildew may be coming from behind the wall where mildew is growing.
#2 New caulking will not stick to old, so all of the old stuff needs to be removed first, most often a single edged razer and a Scotchbrite pad will get it off. Then clean the area with bleach and water, let dry and recaulk.
Fill the bathtub 1/2 full of water before caulking, let dry 24 hours then drain the water. It will settle the tub so when you do fill it again it will not strech the caulking and crack it.

GE silicone kitchen and bath is good, you can also get the 3 in 1 caulk right tool for 5 bucks at home depot takes out the old and caulk and then has the rubber pad so you don't have to use any fingers
