Greetings, I'm painting a bathroom and the owner has picked a DARK grey for the walls. Normally I would free-hand the cutting-in at the ceiling, but this color is unforgiving, and any "contour" is gonna look like a$$. So, I primed everything, painted the ceiling, put tape on the ceiling, cut in the color, and then peeled off the ceiling paint with the tape! What do the pros do? If i paint the ceiling after the walls there will be spatter, and I still have to get the corners right. It's also not practical to wait days for the ceiling paint to dry...
Thanks!
MM

There are tapes specifically for delicate surfaces, and in your case, it would apply, and when I'm painting a small room prone to moisture, I use a heat lamp.

Interesting...I wondered if there might be a light-adhesive kind of tape. Thanks for the replies, Snoobyb! I appreciate the help.
