I have 3 ceiling fans in three different rooms that have lighting hooked up to them. The fans are 5 years or older. I put the energy saving lights in the fan. Now when you have the light on the light flicker. What could be causing the flickering? Bad light bulbs? or the fans just not that up to date with the energy saving lights?

Is the light on a dimmer? Is the lights controlled by a remote control?

The energy saving new type of bulbs must say on the box "dimmable" in order to work correctly. They are available, although somewhat more limited than the "non-dimmable" types.
