I am partial to Hunter heads. They come with a dozen different nozzles that are easy to change. The heads are adjustable from around 25 degrees to over 360 degrees. They pop up when water pressure is applied then disappear into the ground when pressure is removed. The screw that holds the nozzle in place can also be screwed down further to break up the water stream if it is reaching out too far. The tool that comes with the heads is easy to use.
PGP® Rotary Sprinklers

Most things that relate to water in the big box stores are not high enough in quality that I would be willing to expend the labor to install them in the ground knowing how short a life they will likely have.

At the local college, the facility people tells me sprinklers are made from Hunter.
