A real good thought, Alonzo. It is kinda like "always whittle away from you", But it is good advice and we all need to look at the fundamentals now and then. Just think of the times you have been hurt on a job or muffed the fit on the last piece of trim, and the lumber yard is 15 miles away. Can we all call ourselves "stupid" once in a while? I sure have more than once.

Hey Daryll... We used to send the new guy out to the truck to find the board stretcher for those ..."cut to short boards".

Then when he could not find it there we would get him to go find the Super ....so he could borrow his.:D

    Or for those perfectionists:

    Measure with a micrometer
    Mark with chalk
    Cut with ax
