Thank you. Instead of conventional sanding how about I use Klean Strip's "Easy Liquid Sander Deglosser"?Dirtex and no, I would not use the green pads on the cabs, they leave a residue. You will still need to sand lightly AFTER cleaning
Using same exact paint and color. Sherwin Williams' Proclassic Alkyd Interior Enamel (water based).Or, TSP, or Krud-cutter, however, are you painting oil based over water based, or water based over oil based, or water based over water based?
Scuffing or light sanding is generally a method of breaking the glaze and can involve a transitional primer when transitioning from one solvent base, to another.
Painting by hand. Removing all existing hardware and may use wedges to keep the inset doors aligned so putting H hinges back on is easier. New knobs and handles will replace old. All new bare wood will be primed with Kilze Primer. A tremendous amount of detail painting. Please excuse the messy looks. Also in the final stages of full down stairs repaint and remodel. See photos of subject cabinets.Thanks.
Are you performing this strictly by hand or is there enough surface area that an HVLP sprayer would be employed and what is your method of addressing the hardware and hinges?
