Looks like I'm going to have to run some PVC under a sidewalk. Any suggestions as to how to do it. We used to do it using a 2 to 3 foot stick of PVC attached to a garden hose. Wondering if anybody else has any suggestions.

It would depend on what you are running the pipe for. For a non-pressurized sprinkler system, high pressure water on a stick of pvc works great. If this is for electrical, you will need to dig down 18" minimum (as per code, which in my area is 18") and you might need to hire someone to bore out the hole. If this is for low voltage lighting, the PVC high pressure water will do the trick.
