Crawlspace vs roof?

is it possible for long term moisture issues in your crawlspace to affect the plywood on your roof, causing softening, etc.? tia

Possible...maybe, probable, I highly doubt it. If you are seeing issues with your roof deck the most likely source of moisture is inadequate ventilation. If your seeing random spots look for damaged or missing shingles.

When you say crawlspace do you mean ground level crawlspace or are you referring to attic space? I've seen people refer to the attic as a crawlspace is why I ask. I guess because it can sometimes be a tight area to navigate. If you are referring to the attic space, yes that can affect the roof sheeting over time. Easy enough to inspect if you have attic access.
