My house recently had a water leak issue in the crawlspace below and as a result the insulation that was installed between the floor joists needs to be replaced. I've had two companies tell me two different things about how to re-install it. If I get faced insulation rolls, where should the paper facing point? Should the paper be against the floor boards above, or point down toward the ground floor of the crawlspace? It makes more sense to me to point it down toward the ground of the crawlspace, as it's a vapor barrier, but I wanted to get some opinions.
Thank you in advance
