Dryer making a very high pitched noise

Of course it didnt make this noise during the inspection but now that we actually want to use it, the dryer ran quietly for about 5 minutes and then started this very high pitched noise. It's a GE, not entirely sure of the model. It still produces heat. Any chance this is an easy fix?

Probably needs a new drum belt. Some say coating the belt with wax, which MAY stop the squeak, but if you'd like my opinion, if you have the drum belt exposed, you may as well replace it. Also check on the bearings in the tensioner. They do and will go bad, so consider replacement of that as well.
 
I would agree. Sounds like a belt. Just lost a belt on my electric leaf blower and it had the classic whine building up to the belt breaking.
