How do you fix a open ground receptacle
Wide open question, Bubba! If your receptacle has no ground, then it is a larger problem.
However, if it has a ground (which is firmly attached) then the ground is open someplace else. Trace each receptacle back from the main, looking for the first one which IS NOT grounded. That one will be faulty .... either bad connection or a bad receptacle. Replacing it might help.
Find the open connection or repair it.
Or if the cable only has two wires and no ground then run new cable with ground back to the panel.
