Exterior Patio Door / Icing Up..

Had an Exterior Patio Door installed about 5 yrs ago, seems the past 3 Winters whenever the Temps drop to (-10'C)and greater the Track along the bottom tends to ice up and becomes difficult to lock.. The Wife is thinking Door needs to be Replaced. Temps around the 0 Mark & + side all is good , Door slides back and forth as it should without jumping.. Ideas on what could be causing and how we can prevent from icing up ?? The nearest Heat Vent is to the left of the door.. and the barometer reads 49% in the house.. Cheers Thanks

By barometer, did you really mean hygrometer, which measures humidity level?

Anyway, if you are getting icing, the humidity level is too high.

You can find online charts showing maximum suggested humidity levels for different winter temperatures.

You could also install a plastic air deflector, blowing heat towards the right side.

And maybe the latch needs adjusting, it might not be shutting all the way closed against the frame, so ice builds up in the gap.
