My 10+ year-old washing machine stopped working. We washed a load, everything was fine, unloaded. Put new load in, pushed Power (or any other button): nothing. The only thing that happened between unloading and loading was my wife tried to clean the top of the bin a bit so she spun it by hand and rocked it back and forth trying to get between the top and the cover, but this sort of moving was probably not any more than what happens during a wash. Tried unplugging -- didn't help. What can be wrong?

Look up the troubleshooting section in your manual.

Or you can find the manual online.

Otherwise, search Google for your problem, or call the manufacturer customer service on Monday.

Some machines have a reset procedure by pushing buttons in a sequence, they will tell you.

Make sure the wall outlet has power at the breaker , or if a gfci outlet has tripped.

I like the top loaders.
You don’t need to bend way down to load/unload.
And they don’t get that moldy stink like front loaders.
Some of them have huge capacity.
If yours has a glass top, be careful if you have a cabinet right above, things can drop and crack it.

Leave the lid up for an hour or two after a load, to dry out a little.
