Formboard For Crawl Space Question

Looking to put a piece of foam board between the floor joists and then a strip on insulation. So it would be foam board against the sub floor then insulation. Better or worse as far as the insulation properties? A;lo thinking about putting a piece of foam board at the rim joist as well.

Thoughts or is the over kill?

Foam board is far easier to stabilize than batt insulation, so I would install the batts, with the vapor barrier toward the conditioned side, and then the foam, without a vapor barrier.

You should be carefull to not create a double vapor barrier. It can trap moisture and create a new set of issues.
