Garage Door Won't Open

Wondering if I can get some help from the hive mind here.

I have a Chamberlin Liftmaster Professional 1/2 hp, model 1355 garage door opener. All of a sudden the door has stopped opening/closing. Whether its the remotes, or the wired wall opener, anytime I press the open/close button, I hear one click and the light flashes once.

I've reset the opener by pressing/holding the reset button. I've unplugged it and re-plugged it back in. I've checked the sensor and opener wiring. I've double and triple checked that there is nothing in the way of the door and tripping the sensors. One of the door sensors lights is green and the other is yellow, and from what I can tell via online forums that appears to be correct.

So I am looking for some guidance and help as to what else could be the problem? Could the sensors be mis-aligned? Or could the control board be bad? How could I test whether those things are possibly the source of the problem? Or, something else?

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Have you disconnected any accessories / sensors to see if it will run?

I've had some whose relay will click once, then the people light flashes once (or repeatedly on some models) if the opener can't immediately begin lifting the door. The reason it stops trying is a self-protect feature. Openers sense opening force (user adjustable) and if the force is beyond the setting, the opener instantly gives up.

Perhaps try pulling the emergency release and check how difficult it is to open the door by hand. It should lift very easily. If it doesn't, then the problem isn't the opener. (Track problem, roller problem, misalignment of tracks or spring troubles...)

Have you tried releasing the door from the opener and trying to lift the door manually? Do you have torsion springs above the door or springs along the side of the track? I'd be willing to be you have a broken torsion spring and the opener can't lift the weight of the door.

I purchased a Genie last year. Two months later, the "head", where the circuit board is contained, quit on me. As instructed, I was told to call Genie. Their first request was to have a certified garage door repairman come out, disconnect the opener, and the door should stay half way up, and not fall down or spring up. Well, I confirmed this in about 5 seconds, but they wanted me to spend $65 for this report.
Well, to hell with this nonsense!
I went to Home Depot, purchased the same unit, exchanged heads on the unit, and had it operating in 5 minutes. I then simply boxed the old unit, returned it to HD, and received a full refund.
