heat resistant paint?

    hi, just had my fireplace rendered and wanted to know if there was a paint i can use on the render....i will be putting a wood burning stove in there..so in need of a heat resistant paint. any ideas?

    Two heat resistant paints I'm aware of are the spray paints intended to be used for painting bar-b-ques or the "header" spray paints in automotive stores made for spray painting exhaust headers.

    There is also paint for brake rotors that can withstand heat.

    I think if the original poster just Googles "VHT paint" or "very high temperature paint" he'll probably find lots of spray and brush on paints made for any high temperature application. It's just a matter of finding a retailer that stocks those products in his area.
