Getting my feet wet for the first time I’ve messed with an oil furnace. Last week I went down and replaced her copper line from her tank into her trailer, let it and got the furnace working. She said several hours afterwards the furnace was not working. I was not there to see what the situation was, I was told by her father that it was a clogged and nozzle. So today I went down and replaced the nozzle and the pump screen. I push the red button on the control and after you go best of time, I could still not get the green light to come on or any action with the pump. I then called the girl asked her about this who owns the trailer and she said that’s what she had found also that the red button did not kick on the pump.
So I’m just taking a guess that it could be the control that went bad. I checked, and there was power going to the unit, the plunger on the door, I tried the button with the plunger, pushed in and pulled out with no results. I checked the Model number of the control and it is no longer available. From a magic marker date I’m assuming the furnace was put in in 2004.
So is there a control that succeeds the control that is in there right now that I can replace it with?
It is a Beckett furnace with a Honeywell controller, Model R7184A 1075. Tks for any advice on this.
