Has anyone tried making their own mayo? My Mom made her own and store-bought mayo pales in comparison. It prolly should be consumed within a week since it won't have the poison additives to retard spoilage and the egg is raw but it's so good that it might be hard to keep it a week. Youtube and other recipes suggest that a cup can be made in the jar with a stick blender literally in seconds with no muss. It presents an option for oil type experimentation as well as the proper mix of vinegar and other additives (I like some lemon juice in the mix). I haven't tried it and have a half jar of Dukes in the fridge but may put it on my to do list.

That's an interesting video. I am now certain that I will be making instant fresh mayo after the Duke's is consumed. I'll check some youtube recipes and go for it.
