I have a garden shed. I got a quote for $1200 to fully wire it including;

- Trench 15' from primary box to tie into electric.
- Install 4 indoor outlets, 1 outdoor outlet
- Install 1 interior light, 1 exterior light.

They plan to use plastic boxes.

$1200 seem in a normal range for the scope of work?

Who's paying for the materials?
Is that just for the labor?
Who's pulling the permit?
Checked to see if they have a licence and insurance?
Only way to know if it's a good price is to get more quotes.
Only reason I'd hire someone to do this DIY 102 job is if my local building codes would only allow a licenced electrician to do the work.
If I had no clue about electricity and was going to hire someone I'd at least hang the boxes, drill all the holes, run the wires, mount the panel, and have the trench all dug myself and save at least 75%.
This one question has been asked and answered hundreds of time on this and any DIY website that can be found under the search funtion.
Lots of info on wire sizes, number of connectors, grounding, GFI's needed.
