How to identify floating or glue down flooring

I would like to replace the luxury vinyl flooring in my kitchen but I don't know how to figure out if they're floating or glued down. Is there any way to figure this out without cutting into it?

Pull a short piece of molding and peek at the edge. If you can lift it at all, it's floating. If not, or you see glue oozing, it's glue down.

Another place to take a look is where there is a heat grate. Lift it out and take a look.
