Ok so looking at getting everything set up at my parents house so they will be prepared for the next storm that knocks out their power, sometimes lasting multiple days. Theres been several in the past few years and they are almost 80 now. We are having a transfer switch installed and purchasing a duel fuel generator in the 4500-5500 watt range. For a fuel source they have a 500 gallon tank of propane that fuels the hot water heater, stove, and gas pack. This line (photo attached) comes right up to the house and has a cutoff before running into the gas pack. Would it be feasible for the gas company to tee off this and give access for the generator to attach To? This location is also only about 10-12ft from where the breaker box in the house so it would only take a very short cord to reach. thanks for any input!

Should be easy enough to "T" off of the pipe coming out of the ground and add another shutoff and run a separate line to generator.
Assuming the pipe from the ground comes from the propane tank.

Hi, pipe size for the supply will need to be considered, gas co. will be able to determine that.
