Hi,

I have a new goodman furnace installed in the winter and now that it is 35C outside I would like to have the blower fan on continuously to circulate air, but it won't turn on with the thermostat set to always on, not auto. The fan comes on when the heat comes on, but not without the heat on. It is a 2 wire system, and the tstat is jumpered from rc-rh .. Not sure what is wrong, but the furnace we had before worked in this way.

it is a hunter 47110a thermostat.

thanks

If all else fails Honeywell does make a wireless thermostat kit

Hi .. yeah there are only 2 wires going to the thermostat from the furnace.. if I have to run another wire it could be a pain in this house. Thanks

If your lucky and strip back some insulation on the T-Stat wire, you may find more unused conductors that were cut back on the initial installation.
Otherwise, purchase some multi-conductor (5) at least and tie it off to the old wire and use the old wire to pull the new wire (assuming no staples).
