Yes Chris, I'm burying the wiring in the wall, but wanted to see exactly where the stone finished, so I could do a good job. I also need to build a box to place the DVR, Blue Ray, and other assorted crap needed to run the TV.
 
That's how my old fireplace tv was. The built in cabinet had fake drawer fronts and there was a notch on the side so I could see the cable box and use the remote.
 
The contractor just came by and measured it all up. Instead of having a second pocket for the DVR, he recommended a hidden flip top, which should easily conceal one of the AR-15's, which I would have here if they weren't outlawed by the Kommiefornia Communist party. :hide:
 
Not exactly a contractor, but he is my liaison to the woodworking specialist.
 
Thanks for this CMV. I looked all over that attachment and could not find the hearth requirements for a decorative gas log fireplace. Could you help me find it?
