Is November too late to prune a birch?

I read that fall is the time to trim birches. I am in Northern Ontario, Canada. Would late November be too late?

It should be fine, the tree will be dormant.

Correct, now is ideal.

Pruning in spring, they will lose too much sap from the cuts.

No November is not too late.. fine to go.

In the spring, they have a heavy sap run, and pruning at that time is not good for them.
