My ice-maker is working intermittently.I have changed the filter, twice. I put water into the "tray" and the ice-maker produces ice. I have shut it off, turned it back on, but cannot get it to work consistently. I can hear the valve trying to "load" water but it does not always do so. This morning, the valve did load water. Any ideas would be helpful.

The ice maker shut off arm has to make a switch inside the housing to work the water valve. Something could be loose or you may can slightly bend it to make it work. If you bend it too much it won't turn off when the bin is full.

The shut-off arm, as Woodchuck suggested, or the supply tube could be clogged.
