I would like to install a wifi thermostat like a nest on my maytag heat pump air conditioner system. Any suugestions.

What questions do you have about the installation, Johnny? Are they How-To questions or Should I Do It kind of questions?
As an unsolicited comment, I've known a lot of people who had troubles with Nest installations and incompatibilities. I don't know how well it will get along with your Maytag. Perhaps perfectly. Perhaps troublesome.
ecobee, people don't complain about. I've got one of their ecobee3 Lite and my climate control system is quite unusual & complex. ecboee was quick to install and works fine.
Check your utility companies for deals. I got ours for something around $20.00 from the gas company's store.

You can install a Nest Wi-Fi thermostat on your Maytag heat pump system, but make sure it's compatible with your setup.
