I had someone hang drywall in my basement. They used screws for the studs but liquid nails to attach to 4" vertical I-Beams that support the walls next to a fireplace hearth.

The drywall is now detached from the I-Beams... ~6 months after being hung.

How can I reattach it? I am considering using drywall anchors placed just beside the beams to pull the drywall up against the beam... Any other ideas?

I would get some wood in as close to the beam as I could and screw it to that. You will have to open it up to get in there though.

4" side, bottom , both sides what are we talking about.
A box down is usually a skinny wall front and back 1/4" lower that the beam
The wall can be a 2x4 or 2x6 on edge nailed to the ceiling.
