Moving washer to basement

Hello!
I am looking some some guidance on the best way to set up a washer in our basement with our existing piping. The pictures show what is below our unit from upstairs. Are we able to tap into this drain pip and copper hot/cold pipes? Best way to do so? Also with draining, isn’t that too high, best possible drain system?

I agree with @nealtw and put in a sink with a built in sump and pump system. Then drain the washer to the sink. You will have to tap into the H/C lines and tee off to the sink and just before the sink add valves for the H/C for the washing machine. The sump pump will easily lift the wash water to get it into the drain line.



Washing machines will pump water up but IMO it isn’t a good idea to over work them doing that and you also sometime get drain back.



You will also need 120V power to the area and if you are also getting a dryer you will need Gas or 240V to power that and a hot air vent.
