Nafco Vinyl Tile

Anyone have this in their kitchen? I was going to go with laminate flooring but was told that if it ever got wet it was pretty much done for.

Hey Blair:
I personally don't like laminate floors and would not use any wood floor in a kitchen. My preference is still sheet vinyl (the low cost route) or a cementious underlayment with ceramic tile; a slate pattern, maybe.

I put vinyl tile in our kitchen, The old school stuff I think the brand was azrock. Laminate will be damaged if if gets wet often. read the manf. info

I've had a laminate floor in my kitchen for 6 years, it's done just fine. There are many different grades of laminate, even some suitable for use in the bathroom. Just make sure to check the recommended areas of use. This should tell you if it can be used in your kitchen or not.

I wouldn't trust laminate in a kitchen, and certainly not a bath.
Tile still rules the floor covering choice in both those rooms.
Tile is much more low maintenance compared to vinyl, wood, laminate, or carpet.
Only thing required is grout to be sealed every 15 years.
