I had a carpenter properly flash where my deck is attached to the wall. But in putting back the French doors it was obvious the existing set is beyond hope. Although the brand is unknown, the doors are aluminum clad wood. So I am looking at new French doors. I see they are available from about $350 to $2700. From wood to vinyl to fiberglass to steel to aluminum clad wood. I have been to Home Depot and Lowes and a local lumber yard. I would like to stay under $1500, which I believe means I can get a fiberglass door. How good are they. I need the outside to be white but want to paint the inside blue. How about a Marvin Integrity fiberglass door.

Don't know about the brands, but if your doors open out. watch out for doors that are cladded as they still have wood exposed to weather around the edges.
