It’s a little late now as I just finished today, but I was looking through my tool bin and found the 1/2” trowel I bought just for this job.... I looked at the one I actually used, and it’s a 1/4” notch.
It’s too late now, but am I in for issues in the future? It’s the laundry room so it’s not a high traffic area.

Seems a 1/4" notched trowel will work fine. You may have had some oozing from between the tile, but if you didn't, you are good to go. What brand thinset did you use?

Thanks for the reply. From what I can find on the internet, 1/2” trowel is good to use with larger tiles so that it’s easier to make them all flush with each other. If what I’ve read is correct, bigger tiles may not be completely flat, so having a thicker bed of mortar makes it easier to make them level.
I’m not sure of the thinset I used, I just know it showed it was for large size tiles.
