What is the best way to paint the lower rock? It’s real and not faux.

Any of the products designed for concrete, however, what aesthetic vale would be gained by creating a maintenance problem.

masonry paint's what you'd probably use

Just finished mine fairly recently, also a tile roof.

Bought good quality paint.
Followed the instructions - i.e.: scrub the roof first to get rid of any crud.
Painted liberally to fill in all cracks.

So far so good. No doubt there are more professional methods but I wasn't up to selling a kidney to afford them.

The best way is not to paint it.

Leave it alone, or prep it with proper etching cleaner and rinse, then use concrete stain.
