Painting old redwood

My 70 y.o. exterior siding is redwood shiplap. The original primer was lead-based so I won't be using that. I live in CA so oil-based primers are not available. Recommendations for a primer that won't bleed through will be appreciated. Thanks.

Yea, a non-CA oil based primer

I've never found a non-oil based primer that was effective on preventing bleed through on redwood. In your place I'd go to a real paint store, not a big box store, and ask there.
