PH level of wood after using a cleaner

Hi, I am a novice at dealing with wood. I recently moved into a new house and I am trying to strip and stain the wood deck out back. Before reading any articles or doing any research I jumped right in and power washed the deck (probably a mistake but it turned out well). It came out very nice but before staining the deck I wanted to properly prepare the deck. I bought cabot ready to use wood cleaner. My question is this......I have read a few places that say after you use a wood cleaner the PH level becomes very high and you need to use a wood brightener to balance the PH level before staining. I searched on cabot's web page and they didn't mention anything about having to use a brightener after using their wood cleaner. Would this be case? Should I use a brightener or will I be ok after using the wood cleaner to just go ahead and stain? Thanks in advance for any advice and help.
