Replacement Shower Doors

I live in an older home with a fiberglass insert shower. I'd like to replace the glass shower doors, but can't find anything that will be satisfactory to use with the insert. Most are built for tile walls. We bought one set of doors that were too heavy for the fiberglass to support. Not sure what my next move is. Old doors are gone.

Anchoring, can depend upon what the surrounds are placed over, and if they are a flat panel, or stand-off.

The top rail is the support, or carrying device and the vertical end/wall attachments support the top rail, while acting as a "weather stripping", for lack of a better term.

So, what's failing?
