A house I am buying, the inspector found all the plugs in the small garage are reverse polarity. What does that mean? Is there an easy fix to this, or will it be costly to swap all the wires over?

All you need to do is swap the black and whites in the outlets.

I am with Bud on this one. This should not be a "deal killer" for the purchase. You can request in the contract (negotiation) that the seller have this corrected or reduce the price (for the cost) but it should not deter you from buying the home.

It should not be difficult to "fix" this issue.

Funny I woke up this morning and the first thought I had was this post I made yesterday. The reversing of the black and white wires could also be at the panel. It is more likely at the outlet.

The outlet fix if you had to do it is pretty simple and DIY working behind the panel may or may not be at your skill level. I agree with @afjes_2016 and if it is still in the works get the seller to get it corrected by a pro.
