Sleeper sofas

Wife and I are looking to purchase a queen-size sofa bed. Just wondering what the opinion of the members is on best brands, what to look for, etc.

Specifically, our local LazyBoy dealer is having a sale right now. Thoughts on that brand?

I'd suggest going to a showroom and trying one out before you buy one. What's comfortable for me may not be so comfy for you.

I have a wonderful queen-sized Castro Convertible sofa bed from 1991. It's one of the first pieces of good furniture that I bought when I started out on my own. It's in a classic style, so I still have it in my house.

It has none of those metal things sticking up through the mattress that make many other sofa beds a nightmare to sleep on. It's so comfortable that it feels like a regular bed. Everyone who's ever lain on it says that. When we have lots of guests for the occasional wedding/funeral/special visits, I always put it to use.

Just watch out for metal crossbars...especially where they cross thin mattresses
