small puddle

Just layed ceramic tile on concrete in basement. The area use to be carpeted and never had an issue with water puddle. Now a small area keeps getting a small water puddle. It is towards the center of the room, what could cause this to happen?

 

Welcome to the site. Was there a floor drain there? Have you had a lot of rain? Have you had hot weather with high humidy?

 

no the floor drain is in another area completely. And yes a bit of rain and high humidity also.

 

Do have exposed water pipes in the ceiling or in that area? When the carpet was removed, was there signs that it had been wet, staining on the back side?

 

no, no water pipes in the area. And the carpet had no signs of wetness. There is a refridgerator in the area but I don't see a leak from it to the puddle.

 

I just layed a few paper towels speratically to see if it was the fridge causing the puddle.

That might a place to look, if the fridge was moved, the tray may be out of place.
