Solar Attic Fan

Looking at putting a solar attic fan in. looking for pros and cons regarding this?

Pro - doesn't use electricity, keeps the attic cooler than normal.
Cons - need a roof penetration (no worries if done correctly but just saying), unit failure is usually all or nothing (not just a motor replacement kinda thing, if you can still get one down the line).

I almost purchased one, but after seeing the specs of air volume moved, which is horrible, I opted to save my money.

I also was looking into solar roof vent.
More of the gable fan type, not the hole in the roof type.
But the solar fan has so little power, it just not worth it.
