Sound proof the gap after window fan installation

Hi All - What material can i use to block the gap after window fan installation? I do have nets to block mosquitos, but there is enough noise coming through it

I am away from home, but i will try to illustrate with the picture below. Am looking to close the yellow portion. You are right that there could be some noise penetration through the fan portion, but am trying to reduce the overall
