I'm thinking of building a shop (pole barn style) that will have an automotive lift in one section, so I'll need to go with steel trusses to I can raise the vehicle up in the air.
My question is... do steel trusses just sit on top of a header and are nailed in place, or maybe screws can be used.....
Since it's going to be done like a pole barn building, shouldn't the trusses side right on top of the poles on each side?
Seems like there would be a more secure way to fasten the truss to a pole or a header then just using screws or nails.
