I am in the process of building a combo miter saw/table saw workbench. I was originally planning to go with a hand-me-down Skilsaw for the workbench, but think I’d like to upgrade to one with dust ports and more safety features. Anyone have any recommendations? I’m currently looking between the DeWalt DWE7485 and the SkilSaw SPT99T-01. Anyone have any experience with these? Or any other recommendations? I don’t plan on moving these off the work bench much. I also currently have a 10in table saw, but have never had the need to use the full plate height. I don’t have a ton of experience with table saws. Thanks for any help!

As a DIY homeowner with 45 years of DIY experience (on my own stuff, I might add), I would buy a DeWalt tool before I would buy a "SkilSaw" tool. Most low-priced tools that have a rotating component also have bushings while the commercial-grade tools use bearings. The bushings wear out pretty quickly causing the blade or chuck to wobble ever-so-slightly, causing cutting/drilling inaccuracies. YMMV.
