I thought it might be fun to find the oldest Bird-Day thread I could find and post it up.

This one is from 2009. There are some older mentions (going back to 2005) but this will do just fine.

Once again, Happy Thanksgiving.

Wow, a trip down memory lane, thanks for the post. Lots of water under the bridge in the last 11 years.

And I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Turkey Day guys. We got up early loaded up a bunch of cooking gear and went to her brothers house to teach them how to do the dinner. It was their first time and I think we broke a few PA laws and maybe a federal few also having a gathering of 12 people.

We got there and she had thawed and cleaned up the two turkeys and i asked where the giblets went. She said that nasty stuff inside it, I threw it all out. then I check out the bird and she trimmed all the extra skin off it where you close it up with stuffing. We managed and put out a pretty nice spread with all the trimmings.

After dinner I announced that once you do Thanksgiving you then own it from then on.

Hope you all had a great day and ate way to much like I did. 🇺🇲 :)

Bud, you know what they say if you see your neighbors with 20 cars parked in the drive is go drink a glass of milk. Milks good for your teeth. You know what else is good for your teeth? Minding your own business...

I wouldn't worry about breaking the rules, cause the rule makers sure don't mind.

Last night they closed the bars at 5:00 as it is always a busy time for bars. I went to our local beer distributor, yes we have a special store for beer and another for hard stuff (state store). The beer distributor is a drive thru and i drove up and ordered two Long island ice tea slushies before they had to close. The guy said he got an email from the state that said they were not allowed to tell them to close and it was just advice as they had no legal way to make them. then it said but we will pull your license if you don't.

We enjoyed a drink from there and I picked up two salads from the bowling alley and stayed at home and had a pre thanksgiving party.

Tomorrow we are going to do it all again and cook our turkey and fixings at home with the giblets. Fried turkey liver for breakfast yum yum.

I thought I would share what I wrote for my True Hero...

This Thanksgiving, my True Hero is California Governor Newsom. Not only is he the Governor, but he is also a SUPER Virologist that has identified the virus is a "High School or College" type partying virus that sleeps all day and only comes out at night. Whew, Thank God I am past the partying phase.

Between avoiding the active times for the virus, avoiding having more than 10 people around me, because 11 is the kicker, and of course making sure to wear a mask between bites, I think I'm going to be Okay!

I do wish someday to have real power so I can eat in fancy restaurants right next to people and not wear a mask. The virus isn't attracted to powerful people. When I'm powerful, I'll make sure to build a giant house on the Coast and change my voter registration to Liberal so the "Global Warming" doesn't flood my house. Whew! Without all these Leftist Dictators, I don't know if I could breathe on my own!

Thanks, Gubner!

Now, if it all goes wrong, I can always go smoke some legal Meth and Crack in Oregon!

It doesn't harm you if it's legal!

Duh!

Then I can watch my neighbors and make sure they don't have people come over, or I can tattle on them!

But how will I know if they are real people if I'm jacked up on Crack and Smack and Blow?

I Won't!

That's the fun of it!

Definitely interesting, challanging and truly history making times we live in, I only hope I live long enough to see the real truth exposed, whatever that is...

Yeah, my first rule is if the Government says something to think the opposite. I worked for them long enough to know that they only lie when their lips move. If you question the narrative, you are labeled a "conspiracy theorist". They can call me whatever they want to.

The biggest example is AIDS. Where did that go? People are still having sex, there are still gay people, and people are using drugs with needles more often, especially in Liberal cities where it's legal. There is no cure that I know of, and no vaccine, but they never talk about it anymore.

We are supposed to believe it exists because they say it exists. I don't play that way.

I don't think there's a cure yet for AIDS but there appears to be some medications that can put the disease in remission.

As Ronald Reagan said "The scariest words you can hear are, I'm from the govt and I'm here to help"

I haven't heard about remission drugs, but I don't investigate either. Covid has been a giant S show though, with the Government constantly changing their minds about everything. It's like they are making a movie, but gave every actor a different script.

It has been a giant social experiment, with the Government figuring out they could make people freak out over toilet paper. They screwed up though, with the "Do as I say but not as I do" approach. If enough people tell them to go to Hell, they have to change tactics.

So, for the last four years, when Trump and McConnell have been the "gubmint", were you thinking the opposite?
I worked for them long enough to know that they only lie when their lips move.
....Can't argue with that statement
If you question the narrative, you are labeled a "conspiracy theorist".
True for both sides....

Trump isn't the Government. He's a one man wrecking crew. Mcconnell's job is necessary, he isn't.
