I am in the process of looking for a contractor for my kitchen remodel, which I would like to have completed by the end of July. Being the computer nerd I am, I have searched online for good contractors.

Has anyone delt with the site www.allaroundthehome.com and others like it before? It seems like they are put together well, but I dont know if I can trust that they represent quality contractors? Has anyone hired a company from one of these sites? Was the work done on time and with little or no "babysitting" by you to make sure it was right?

Any help is appreciated before I get started. Thanks

Contractor conglomerates simply hire whoever they can find to do the work (the lowest bidder) and treat them like dirt, delaying payments and such. I prefer a local contractor who my neighbors or I know and trust.
Ask your cabinet supplier who has the least trouble with their customers.

I prefer to check with the Better Business Bureau. Usually you can see if the contractor has a history of resolving customer problems.
