Unusual Popcorn Ceiling Removal Tricks

Hey guys,

I've been researching he best ways to scrape off a popcorn ceiling, and I cam across this collection of videos: http://www.wbdoors.com/blog-layout/the-popcorn-ceiling-removal-saga-and-4-videos-to-make-it-easier

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page, there is a video of a guy who attached a blade to his Shop-Vac and scraped the ceiling with that. It looks pretty amazing, but has anyone ever actually tried something like this? I have a hard time believing it could be as easy as it looks, but if it does work I will have to try it!

Let me know your thoughts, or tips on removing popcorn ceilings in general!
