Dear Water Treatment experts: I have a 10 years old Water Factory SQC-4 RO system. Two months ago, I replaced all four cartridges with Swift Green Filters. Recently friends talked about "Waste Water", so I tried to check this out with my system. Last night, before going to bed, I drawn 1 cup of RO drinking water. This morning at around 8:00am (after 10 hours), before I draw any filtered water out, I pulled the "Waste Water" tube out to check, and found it is still flowing out quite a good volume of "Waste water", seems never stop. That is extremely wasting water. Is anyone has experience this and where went wrong? Thank you.

On my r/o system, the book says expect to waste 10 gallons of water for every gallon of r/o water. With water rates climbing as they are for everyone, I will soon rip out the system forever and just drink filtered refrigerator water.
