I live a mobile home and we have well water with good pressure. Under normal circumstance the hot water takes a long time get warm. It is cold out and I thought the water might have frozen. However, it was running fine full blast good water pressure, then suddenly stopped. The heat tape has been on continuously and the last time it got this cold the hot water froze but the cold water continued working fine.

Any ideas on what us going on with it?

Have check both the tub and the sink to see if it comes out?
If it keeps freezing, is there insulation around the pipe as well as the heat tape?
Fell the heat tape not just count on that red light to see if it's warm.

Check back to the well and see if you have any water there.

It's going to be a matter of seeing where you have water or don't then fixing the problem where ever and what ever it may be.

The well pump may not be working or, you may be frozen, more troubleshooting is needed.

As far as Heat Tape I highly recommend Frostex Pipe Freeze Protection System as it is the easiest to install, most reliable, and best controlled heat tape on the market today...
