Ron, I'm glad you had enough PEX to fix the shower. I *hate* CPVC. The stuff we had in our house was so brittle it crumbled to pieces. Probably because it was old. ALL of the cpvc ruptured when we had a hard freeze one year. Replaced it with PEX.

Havasu, the line into the breaker box is 10awg but I'm going to run 12 directly from the 20A breaker to the outlets. I know one of the reasons to not twist different size wires together is that they can overheat. It's not as much of an issue when they aren't touching one another, but I know it is still not advised. Running 12 from a breaker shouldn't be a problem though.

I think my shower valve clogged. When I went to take a shower the pressure and temp were good but then a few minutes in the water stopped. Toilets still flushed and sink worked-- but there was air in the line. I need to go check to see if its leaking from the cistern attachment. The water worked from the tub spout after I dried off, but I'll resume a full shower after I take care of stuff in town today. I got washed off enough that I don't smell horrible and don't feel horrible.

Not smelling horrible is not a very high standard but understandable in your situation.

Finding yourself alone, and downwind, may require a reassessment.o_O

Well, yesterday I was actively apologizing to anyone who came near me for how bad I knew I smelled bc of not having running water for 2 weeks and sweating like crazy. At least my hair isn't a tangled mess getting wrapped around my neck and making me hotter now that I chopped it off.

Thunderstorms impeded my plans. Mom was supposed to go with me into town but she didn't want to with the thunderstorms so we rainchecked it for tomorrow.

Checked on the pump and the roof patch I did worked for now. The cistern lever was low but didn't trigger on and the jet pump tried to come on but shortcycled rapidly and I could see sparks/lights from inside the switch box and smelled something burning. It shut off after about 30 seconds. Water still seems to be working for now though. I do have a spare pressure switch if that one burned up. I really need a different method to trigger the belt-driven pump to fill the cistern. I'm trying to remember if I need one that is normally closed or normally open.

Shan, that reminds me a bit of my yard. Weeds everywhere. Got a short video of just one part of my yard where the 4 o'clocks are growing.

I forget why there are tires stacked up but I know one is covering a metal pipe sticking up from the ground.

My friend asked me if I ordered the different type of float switch for the pumphouse but I don't know how to wire it and I think it needs a relay and/or contactor setup. Would setting that up be a question for the plumbing section or the electrical section?

Brought Mom into town to do some stuff, scheduled an appointment with the diabetes specialist to discuss infusion sets, went to Alexandria to get stuff at Samsclub, pickup some more stuff from HD, and stopped to eat at the Chinese place. Popped into a store called Ross so Mom could look at clothes (she was looking for something to wear to cousin's son's wedding) but they didn't have anything decent. That store also has a bunch of random stuff like tool bags, little boxes, and I found one of those cushion things for helping you sit up in bed while reading. Forget what it's called, but my friend had been looking for one so I grabbed it. Went to Walmart in town and grabbed some stuff for friend and his wife. Mom wanted to see him to thank him again for fixing stuff up. Got back home and unloaded stuff and am resting now.

Mom woke me up at 2:30am because she was hungry last night so I'm tired. Ended up watching a bunch of short Youtube videos with a little turtle riding a mini skateboard to follow a cat around. Skateboard looks like it would be about the size to be used by a Barbie doll and somehow this turtle gets on top of the little board and then pushes itself around so it can move fast.

Ruby and I took the grands to Nashville airport (took the MIL too) so they could fly home. Love those kids but it was a long week!

Anyway, after dropping the 3 of them off, Ruby, Linda and I went to Jason Aldean’s bar for steaks. The steaks were awesome! …but expensive!

There was a really good band there. It was called the “Andrea Crisselli Band” but really the dude playing guitar was the star.

It's probably already too late for it to not be a PITA, but it's my work week and I work 12 hour days so there's not much I can do about it. I currently looks like the weather will be better so they can come over and work on it, or maybe I can at least change out the fuel filter myself on Sunday. I am going to order a discharge chute for it and remove the mulching plug to hopefully make it easier and less of a pain.

Shan, isn't there local lawn services that can do a one time job?
I haven't tried that this time. In years past I was never able to find someone, probably mostly because of the stuff in the yard but idk that to be true.
I was considering making a post on FB to get some leads on who uses who.

I hope you can find a solution, Shan. I need to charge up my weedeater and start hitting the weeds right next to the sidewalk and find my mini chainsaw (or the battery for my larger chainsaw) to take out that stupid tree right next to the back door. My friend hates that tree and would take great pleasure in destroying it.

Took Mom to an appointment that was supposed to be at 3:15. NP didn't come in until 4:30pm and Mom was about ready to leave. But, the NP actually went back to the office to open things up and let me get Mom's purse that she forgot in the exam room. Realized after the office closed and called and someone got in touch with her. We now have an infusion set ordered for Mom.

got an amazon package and opened it on my bed. Set the box aside and went to pick it up but it didn't want to budge. Yasuke has found his new hiding place. 1717819104565.png
Got some groceries from Walmart, was bad and grabbed food from McDonalds bc I really didn't feel like cooking. Will have to cook on the weekend.

Unloaded groceries and have been researching stuff on relays and float switches. I found a float switch that is the same brand as the relay switch my friend found. Hope they can work together.

Shan, ask around at your church. When I worked in Alaska in the summer of '22, we got a guy from our daughter's church to take over for a couple months. It was expensive but sometimes ya need a little help. Facebook will probably be good too.

I would pull all the Tree Weeds and spray some full strength Vinegar on their stubs so they won't come back... Then when the grass is cut, keep doing that until hopefully they are eradicated.

Goats are pretty good at keeping the grass down. I miss having goats.

Slept in today after staying up playing Elder Scrolls Online until I fell asleep at the keyboard. I haven't played it much for awhile and wanted to play the new Gold Road expansion.

Aunt Mary called so we talked for a bit. She was checking on us to see how we're doing. She lost her husband a few months back is worried about other family members. She also lost a granddaughter to domestic violence a couple years back. She told me about one of her grandson's antics.

Cooked for Mom. Fed kitties very early because they were telling me it was food time. Now they are sleeping and grooming themselves. They certainly let me know when they are hungry.

Best friend's ex dropped both of her goblins off at his house yesterday because she was in labor. She had a c-section this morning and its a healthy troll-doll faced thing. I find pretty much all babies ugly. LOL.

I'm about to go see if I can make myself something to eat. I really needed the long nap this morning. LOL.

Got some rare time to work outside in the morning before the Nazi perfume invaded my air. I don't know why people trade in a long healthy life for themselves and their animals in favor of spraying Nazi chemicals all over their farms and yards, while of course eating everything they sprayed and working in their yards. Then they cry when their animals die and when they get sick, they opt for Euthanasia in the form of Chemo.

I visited a neighbor a few years ago after they sprayed their crops, and it's 100 if not 1000 times as concentrated as what the wind delivers to me, and they just go about their lives like it's no big deal.

It's probably a little offensive to say they don't have any common sense, but there's no proof of that.

Sooooooo.......

My friend and her significant other came today to look at my riding lawn mower and some idiot (insert my picture) left the key in the on position innthe mower 🙄.

So, they are supposed to come back Thursday evening.

Also, I went and got my oldest sons lawnmower this morning and am hoping that my daughters significant other can mow for me possibly tomorrow. The grass is about a foot tall 😳.

This is the day that I start my count down to my days off...... just 3 more workdays to go. Woot woot
