Well, Boxing is different... Almost everyone there is jacked while the UFC is more "technical" with Judo and Jiu Jitsu being most of the Fighter's disciplines... Of course with MMA standing for Mixed Martial Arts, anybody in any discipline that was good enough could compete... I just haven't seen a "Full Time" Boxer... They might as well call the UFC "Jiu Jitsu"...

You probably remember when Ultimate Fighting Championship first started, they thought a wrestler wouldn’t stand a chance against a boxer, karate guy, or any stand up fighter. Boy were they wrong! Royce Gracie dominated UFC for several years in the beginning by taking the fight to the mat. He used Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. He changed everything. Our department started teaching “Grappling “ as part of our tactical defense. Every fight I ever saw always ended up on the ground.

The thing that got me about Royce Gracie is that…I was in high school wrestling. The one thing you did not want to do was to end up on your back. That’s how you would lose is by being pinned. Royce Gracie fought on his back! He won his UFC matches on the mat and on his back!

Man, I miss eating Lumpia. None of the places in my area have it. I know of only one Filipina in the area. Her name is Grace and she works at Walmart. Very sweet lady. Always joking with us. She does martial arts.

Friend's wife had a birthday yesterday so I took them out to eat. They wanted to eat at Flying Wok but for some reason it closed on Tuesdays so we went to a place at the casino. Not cheap but they give a lot of food. She was very happy. Can't say I'd go back bc of the price and all the smoke inside the casino to get to the place. I was coughing up a storm even though I wore a mask to try to block out the smoke. I do not react well to cigarette smoke at all.

Hung out with friends afterward and then went to Walmart to grab some stuff Mom requested. Then back home. Mom was asleep so we unloaded groceries and I went straight to bed. Music was playing that soothed Rupert so he didn't keep me awake. Got up to have some breakfast and Rupert followed. He tried to devour my finger (good thing he doesn't have teeth) so I got him some Lil Shakes. Mom woke up and wanted food so I got her something and she told me she saw Rupert eating dry food in the kitchen while I was out yesterday.

Doing laundry right now. Mom has a doctor's appointment this afternoon and she needed some clean shirts and pants.

My closet doors came off their track a long time ago and they fell over. I noticed one seemed much smaller than the other so I measured and one is 24" and the other is 32". Measured the track and its about 56". Obviously non-standard size. I wonder if two 30" doors would work as replacements (one of the doors has a hole in it). But I will probably just patch and paint these ones. They are in decent condition other than the one hole.

Had a setback with Rupert bc the dog is stupid. So, Princess gets irrationally agitated if she gets stepped on or annoyed and will snap at cats or even me if she thinks it was a cat that touched her. I didn't see exactly what happened but I think Rupert stepped on her trying to climb over to me and she lost her crap on him and jumped on him biting and growling. I had to yank her off by the scruff of her neck and grab Rupert. He'd been crying and was really upset. His nose was bleeding. Poor baby seemed really sore. Princess usually likes Rupert and is nice to him but sometimes she's crabby. I know if she'd really been trying to hurt him he would be much worse off, but she was being so pissy. She's never snapped that badly on a cat before. She didn't start the snapping until after Fippy was getting snippy with everyone (except Mom). Fippy has jumped on cats before and I've had to pull him off and roll him on his back.

Got music playing, Rupert is on my chest, and I got him purring for awhile by petting him very gently. Just got him purring again with head-kisses.

Played around with an AI image generator trying to get a result for something but not getting what I wanted. Ended up with something with an arm coming out of a head and looking so messed up. LOL.

Laundry is done and I'm waiting for Mom to wake up before her appointment. Meanwhile, Gravy Jones has taken up residence in the pet bed.

Yeah, they have like 400 in the family!

Lots of foods are on my list to try when there is 100% guarantee nobody will be here... If it ends up horrible, it was never tried... I nailed my Pizza Sauce recipe, will never change it... That said, the Bulging Disc and pinched nerve are landing me on an Anti-Inflammatory diet and I'll have to go to the Devil... er VA for Physical Therapy...

I told my Doc that pain was weakness leaving the body, my body heard that and said "Oh Yeah"??? I'm on day 6 now, the previous 2 days were a shooting Nerve ball in my Hamstring... I have never felt that kind of constant pain... Nerves in the Teeth can be blanked by the Gel stuff, Whiskey and Acupuncture... Acu would work for the Hamstring, but I didn't think about it...

Hot Baths work, but only when I was using Dead Sea Salt... Spent so much time in the Bath today that I drank a Gallon of water and had no need to pee... Now the pain is in the Quad like I torched it in the Gym... I'm going tomorrow to get some Motrin. I'm not even playing around if this happens again... Will also stop at a Dispensary and figure out the rules... I will lay around zonked for 7 days and skip the pain, Yes Sir, Yes Maam...

Lots of people on this thread say to eat Candied Ginger...

I'm almost always nice to Fippy but I do tell him to stop being a douchewaffle at times.

Took Mom to her appointment with her diabetes specialist but Rupert was trying to follow me out the door. I asked my brother to watch him and keep him safe. Specialist said Mom needed to eat some protein and vegetables but she felt nauseous and refused to eat while we were in town and when we got home. She went to lie down. I still need to change her Dexcom sensor but I think she needs a nap first.

Couldn't find Rupert when I got home and was worried. Poked my head into my brother's room and my brother had him in his arms cuddling him. Rupert started meowing at me and trying to get up so I could hold him. So I handed my brother some food and he handed Rupert to me. He's currently curled up next to me listening to music.

Fippy is next to the pet bed because Gravy Jones is in the pet bed. Fippy can be a douchecanoe but he does have some manners and won't push Gravy out or sit on him.

I'm always in ahh, of when you green screeners will venture into creativity.
When they do a massive journey like this in the 50th Century, since it will probably take until then to have WORKING CAMERAS to excitedly document all the points along the journey, to include of course actually going around the Moon...

Not ONE picture...

Made a concoction for Sciatic Nerve pain...

TSP Ginger
TSP Turmeric
TSP Cinnamon
TBSP Honey

In Boiling water... Downed it and for the first time, don't have a NEED to get in the Hot Bath... The Nerve Stinging is down 75%,

My Legs and Democrat mascot still hurt wickedly because of all the gimping around I have had to do for 8 days, but it's more like I had a heavy day in the Gym yesterday and I'm paying for it.

Too early of course, but if THAT impacts Inflammation that fast, being that all 4 are Anti-Inflammatory, I will be drinking that maybe twice a day forever, whether I feel like I need it or not... I'm not even thinking about the Hundreds of other benefits to the 4.

And it tastes good... Need the Honey to combat the Turmeric, but it's all good.

No F.W. WOOLWORTH photo booths, yet.

Well, they could have resurrected the moon landing, just for kicks.

Over burbon?

I don't think the human race as we know it will still exist on earth by the 50th century.
Having a bad day. Kidney stones. Mom in a terrible mood and taking it out on me. She had me so aggravated I was ready to just shoot myself. But then I walked out and saw Rupert and realized he needs me to take care of him.

I was trying to get my blood pressure to come down and Itsy could tell I wasn't feeling well. She walked up and booped me on the nose very gently with her paw, licked my forehead a few times, and then repeated the boop and forehead licks before pressing her forehead against mine a few times and then licking my forehead again. She's such a sweet kitty.

Got Rupert to eat more today. Two packets of food-- the first was some kind of "stew" and he was going at it hard and trying to eat the bowl and my fingers. Followed with the Lil Shakes and then a few minutes ago I gave him some canned food. He again tried to eat the bowl and my fingers.

Fippy is in the pet bed, Princess is under a blanket, and the kitties are napping. Rupert is on my lap right now.
