They sell slim under-cabinet lights that are designed to be over sinks/damp areas. They are basically bar lights with LEDs in them. They can be hard-wired or plug-in. They can have remote switches, manual switches, pull cords, or touch control (basically a metal disc with a wire going to the light that turns the light on and off with touch).

Not sure exactly what happened but I went to put something in the microwave and noticed that the lights weren't on. I opened it up and my brother's food was in there still cold. Tried plugging microwave in to different outlets and nothing. So the new microwave is now dead. Ugh.

Friend is going to try to take a look at it-- maybe tomorrow-- to see if he can figure out what is wrong. It probably has roaches in it even though I did my best to seal it up to keep them out. Which voids the warranty. I've been using boric acid tablets, roach traps, roach spray, etc. Still not working on these buggers.

This is what we got done on Wednesday. I was going to hang a third cabinets over the sink, however I either need to pull the electrical wire down some or put a hole in the back of the cabinet.

I was thinking of bringing it down below the cabinet and adding a box to the bottom of the cabinet to hang a light one....

idk, what's the consensus?

Shan, that is awesome! You should be proud of what you have done and what your are doing. You already have done more than what most people will ever do. You are an inspiration to women all over the world…and I include Z in this too!

We made it home from the Keys finally. Traffic was really heavy for some reason.

Ruby’s birthday party was a real Banger!

We made it to Key West the next day.

We moved the party to Alabama to get better weather.

The electrical line is going to go in a box right under the cabinet. Those holes where there when I pulled the old cabinets off. I added the plug just because it's a live wire. The box i ordered came yesterday while I was at work, as well as the 1/2" cable clamp for the range hood that still needs to be installed. Unfortunately because of the way these cabinets are constructed i am going to have to be creative with hanging the vent hood. Those metal pieces that your turn to lock onto the screw are in the way.

@zannej idk what kind of light to put there, that cable does have a light switch already and the string is has a gfci outlet. I just need to find a way to be less indecisive. It's all temporary to get me through the next 5ish years and then I plan to pay for a remodel of the kitchen including removing the soffits and a partial wall.

@Snoonyb Everything is electric so I bought a venthood that could be vented or not. When I do a real remodel in 5ish years, I will have it be vented to outside. It has always just been vented into the attic since it was built. So it will be ductless until then.

I like the thoughts of possible strip lighting, I hadn't thought of that!
HMMMM, venting the sumptuous and salutary odious fumes of HOBO EGGS & A EXCESSIVELY SALTED PORK PRODUCT, of a Sunday morn, seems rather rigorous.

Well, to a point. He was told to give Billions to Iran by Obama, who of course previously gave them Billions.
If these people are willing to blow themselves up and become martyrs, what will happen when they gain nuclear capability?

On a side note…here I am looking down on the Western Wall (Wailling Wall) and onto where the Temple used to be.

I interest of accuracy Obama didn't give Iran money. He released frozen Iranian assets as part of the nuclear deal in 2015 that was also signed by several other countries. The money was theirs not ours. The deal had terms for nuclear arms development reductions and inspections for verification. Trump pulled out of the deal with no replacement thus freeing Iran to resume their nuclear arms program, which they did. Biden released an additional $6 billion in a hostage release. Again their money not ours.

I hope someday to go to Israel, all over the place but specifically Jerusalem... As far as blowing themselves up, that's just the commoners... The Supreme Leader and the President wouldn't blow themselves up. If they launched Nukes, they would no longer exist shortly after that.

It wouldn't matter if there wasn't $1 from America. The smart ones say "Don't allow Iran to have cash"... "But they will be good and use it for Humanitarian reasons for their people", say the Democrats...

HUH? Were they born Yesterday? Well, arguably Yes... And then the Iran Terrorist proxies attacked Israel and undoubtedly brought over Hundreds of Terrorists through our Border...

So, yes in accuracy, Obama did give them Billions in the effort with the CCP to destroy America because Obama is Muslim (Shia).. Remember... Same guy that freed 5 Terrorists in exchange for one Traitor named Bergdahl.

Monies then employed to enhance the capabilities of their proxied advocates, which are supported by 5 dem leaders and champions.

When there is no disincentive, you become an advocate.

Trump pulled out of an idiotic agreement which, required a 2 week advance notice prior to any IAEA inspection.

Seems to me if you don't like an agreement you would work to update or replace the agreement rather than just say we reject the previous agreement so you go ahead and do whatever you want. It was the same with Chinese tarrifs. Those were applied and there was no planning or end game for an agreement. It simply hurt Americans and then sent billions of taxpayer dollars to a single affected group (farmers) while the rest of us had to pay the cost. Guess who farmers vote for.

However, he'd need to include the EU, and those folks were more interested in saving their own markets, along with the potential of adversarial actions.
As for the US markets, someone needed to address the trend to become a dependency market and the potential of that adversarial eventuality.

My interpretation of trumps view is, he views each fiefdom, from a businessman's perspective, as a market, in a global version of, lets make a deal.
